Getting Engaged

We’re excited that you want to get involved in this process. There are several ways to participate.

If you haven’t done so already, please sign up for our mailing list as that’s the best way to keep abreast of the latest opportunities, events, and progress.

For former residents of the Innerbelt area, we are launching a history archive effort to make sure that the stories and images of what happened (and the life of the neighborhood that used to exist) can be preserved for future generations to know and learn from. The Akron-Summit County Public Library will be housing the collection. We’re currently doing oral history interviews and collecting photos for scanning. Let us know if you’re interested in sharing your story.

To all Akron residents, we’d love to engage you in conversation at one of our pop-up stations. Below is a calendar of events that you can find us at. We’ll share additional updates via the mailing list.

While we’re only able to do the pop-up stations at a select number of events, we’re open to hearing of other events where information about this initiative can be distributed. We’re also open to hearing programming ideas for interim activation on the Innerbelt. Let us know if you have thoughts.
