More than 100 Akronites came together for the “Goals & Ideas” Open House #2 on March 18 to help reimagine the future of the former Innerbelt land.
At the event, participants ranked the guiding Principles and Goals for future development and shared their visions for the types of projects they’d like to see—and where—through a large-scale mapping exercise. The proposed project ideas ranged from a Black Cultural Center to a Business Incubator to enhancements to the City’s tree canopy, each one reflecting and reinforcing the broader development Principles.
